Hello and welcome to Creative Space OT

I am Delphine, a highly experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) and DIR Floortime Practitioner at Creative Space OT, with over 16 years experience as a children’s OT, working in the UK and internationally, privately and within the NHS. To this day, I continue to work part-time for the NHS as a senior children’s Occupational Therapist. I believe the mixture of NHS and private practice provides me with a healthy and ethical challenge as a practitioner.

I am passionate and dedicated to working with children, young people and adults with SEN needs to help them and their families achieve their goals and full potential.

I have experience working in nursery/ early years settings, mainstream and special schools, clinics, home, in the community and in isolated and more challenging areas (townships in South Africa, India and Nepal). In 2015, I set up a small therapy project at Timi School and day centre, in Bhaktapur, Nepal, where I ran training for staff and parents and provided hands-on therapy to children with a range of complex medical, cognitive, neurodevelopmental and physical issues. This ended in 2024 when I became a mum and could not sustain the commitment level this project required.

I believe in close partnership with parents/ carers and all agencies involved in the individual’s care.

My approach is holistic, playful and person-centred whilst also being rooted in evidence-based practice.

As part of my continuing professional development (CPD), I take part in reflection and CPD groups, complete courses, listen to podcast and read (see list of Links and Resources) and continually seek ways to better understand the people I work with as well as reflect on my practice.
